Girls as young as 12 are paraded by parents at “wedding fairs” staged across eastern Europe. It is feared the blonde girl seized in Greece from Romas posing as her parents was destined to be sold at such an event. Fees of up to £40,000 plus expensive cars are handed over for the best virgin brides. The Sun witnessed one such wedding market in Bulgaria where the authorities turn a blind eye to the cynical trade.
